Dr. Hernández has served on the Two-Way CABE Executive Board since 2003 supporting the formation of the organization.
She was an educator in Two-Way classrooms for 20+ years and is currently a Professor at CSU San Marcos.
Currently holds the position of Assistant Director of Bilingual Education
in the Department of Language and Culture in Education at Loyola Marymount
University, in Los Angeles, CA.
Currently, holds the position of District Resource Teacher in San José Unified School District, San Jose, CA.
where she supports the professional development of the five district Two-Way Programs.
Currently serves as SFUSD Dual Language Supervisor and supports TWI programs in four languages in Pre-K through 12th grade. He served
as the co-chair of the 2011 TWBI National Conference.
Professor Emeritus of Child and Adolescent Development
at San Jose State University, where she taught for 23 years. She is world reknown as the leading researcher in TWI/BL Education.
Currently holds the position of Administrator of the Delta Charter Schools in the Central Valley
after a succesful tenure as principal of Riverbank Language Academy.
Currently serves as the Principal of The Language Academy in San Diego USD where she
leads a dedicated K-8 French and Spanish Dual Language Magnet School.
Executive Director and co-founder of Two-Way CABE,
currently engaged in the formation of the new Association of Two-Way and Dual Language
Education (ATDLE). A 35 year veteran educator with over 20 years experience in TWBI/Dual Language program implementation.
